I am known to have a green thumb, so almost every co-worker, friend or neighbor seems to be handing me flowers that they have messed up. And I take them in and nurture them. And yes, they survive and do well under my care. I just have a knack for them..but I am running out of room in my home and garden!Mariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05049511202014141182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652835323489468820.post-14653733304003009962014-06-02T08:38:20.493-07:002014-06-02T08:38:20.493-07:00Jean, we do talk of "training" our climb...Jean, we do talk of "training" our climbing plants, don't we? Happy to hear he was a gentleman in the bitless.

Things are growing like crazy here, with little maple trees sprouting in unlikely places and bigger saplings demanding "treedom," I can't quite keep up with trimming the wild roses that take over wherever they find an opportunity. Not sure I'd take any of my plants with me if I ever moved, but many of them have such wills of their own, they just might follow me. *G*Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10029423500476995817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7652835323489468820.post-44504882970107741932014-05-30T08:17:57.673-07:002014-05-30T08:17:57.673-07:00Helen, I didn't focus on other people's ga...Helen, I didn't focus on other people's gardens when I lived in France. The great thing about gardening is that you learn as you go. It's an exercise in optimism. If you fail with a plant, there's always next year to try a different approach. I think it makes us better riders when we ride a variety of horses with different personalities.

I get attached to plants and trees too and find it hard to leave some behind. Although, as you say when they grow too large to move we have to wish them well and remember how much we cared for them. I hope your move goes smoothly and you are happy in your new place.
