All I want for Christmas...

Hooray for the brave Cornish Lads who would face rocky beaches and cold seas to pose for a calendar to raise money for a friend, injured in a car crash.
This post started out as a light-hearted sharing of some beautiful scenery from my home region in Cornwall, England. Upon reading about what these boys are doing to try to help a friend I though they should get all the help and encouragement I could muster. So click on the Surf Bums link, below, read about them and spread the word.

"Surf Bums"

To order a calendar email: darrencopemanfund.helptheheroes@hotmail.co.uk

The Guys are trying to get a website set up to take orders but, due to Darren's accident taking place late in the year and the limited time to photograph and produce the calendars, they are under the gun. The cost per calendar with exchange rates and shipping are roughly $15-$20

Even if you don't order, they would surely appreciate a "Well Done" for what they are trying to do.

If you read the article linked above you will see that Darren has asked that any funds raised be shared with injured soldiers.

  2. @eloh, I realized I should have put a link. I will have to check my search history on my work computer tomorrow to find it.

  3. @eloh, you were being sincere and facetious simultaneously, right?( I emailed Lady S.) I may make an attempt to market these boys' efforts to help them along.

  10. Hi. My first visit here, came via Tyke's Progress.
Followed your link and was thrilled to read about Lizard. My ancestor Richard Law was employed there (possibly a guard?) about 1800. Thanks for the trigger to work on researching more than that.
I loved the Falmouth Choir post too.
    Happy Christmas
