Lost in translation, or not?

  1. Cute as anything. I like the donkey in the back too.

This is one of those things some people find offensive---demeaning to the sanctity of the nativity--but I find it both clever and charming. Those dogs are so well behaved and tolerant, it's amazing. And I think the holy child would have gotten a good laugh out of this.

God does have a sense of humor. *G*

  7. Jean, the donkey is doing such a good job of hiding that I hadn't noticed him. I know you know what a horse looks like so I went back to check:)
It pains me that there are people so insecure that they would feel threatened by something like this. I wouldn't even have thought twice about asking that question a few years ago.
I'm not religious but I am completely on board with any message of peace, love and hope, no matter who brings it. The Nativity Scene brings together people from all walks of life and includes animals as well. That's the Message I get from this.

  8. Stephen, glad you liked it.

Steve, those dogs are too well trained (long-suffering) to be distracted by a squeaky toy, a liver treat maybe.

    Martin, on form, as usual.

S&S I think it's fair to say that dogs and horses are often bemused by human behavior.

  13. LOVE the picture, Jenny. Especially the "King" on the left, who has an air of weary (but aristocratic) boredom!

BTW Thanks for your recent comments on my blog. I'm mulling the whole situaiton over during Christmas. Have a lovely one yourself.

  15. All, I wish I could take credit for the photo and the dog training, or even the idea, but no. I saw, I copied, I shared.

Bobby, Welcome. I like the cover art of the book you wrote.
