Fiona, above, with her foster family. Fiona had a life-threatening battle with MRSA, the antibiotic-resistant staph infection. She's still being treated for that, but she's on the mend overall.
Frankie, above, is the puppy who had the terrible open sores in a previous post. She now has the energy to be a naughty puppy most of the time. Frankie has lost the sight in one eye, but that doesn't seem to bother her.
Samantha, above, is a born princess. She and Frankie are in the same foster home.
The donations of medications have provided enough to see all three puppies through a three month treatment, with a few to spare. Financial donations pretty much equal the vet bills so far.
There are some great people out there.
Excellent news hen, I do enjoy a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteBy the way... took your advice on the wee pony situation, bought her a VW instead.
Chef, I'm always happy to spread good news.
DeleteThe VW had me puzzled for a moment, as to what breed of horse that represented. Then I got it... the kind of horse you can park and forget, if needs be. That sounds a much better gift in this case.
Ahhhh. News I wanted to hear. They're transforming into their lovely selves before our eyes.
ReplyDeleteKerry, they do look better, don't they?
DeleteHow wonderful for all of them and how wonderful they are...Thank you for visiting me this morning. How was your husband's birthday bash?
ReplyDeletee, birthday was great, if exhausting, thanks. I'm blogging 'cos I don't have the energy for much else today:)
DeleteI'm so glad to see them looking so much better.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for you people.
Helen, isn't Fiona precious in her life-jacket?
ReplyDeleteThanks for this doggie update. Glad to see that everyone is doing well.
ReplyDeleteStephen, We had help from far and wide.
ReplyDeleteShow people an animal in need and they will help if they can.
ReplyDeleteI am glad all the patients are doing well.
So wonderful to see them on the mend :-D
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice update. All the pups are looking so much better!! I am happy to see them recovering both health and that spark of energy!
ReplyDeleteHow was the party?
Wonderful update!
ReplyDeleteFriko, Wiola, Jean & Trudi, Sorry I'm behind on answering. Thanks for your comments. The pups thank you for your good thoughts too.
ReplyDeleteLove a good update! They're gorgeous, so glad they're getting the meds they need.
ReplyDeleteHostage, they look as though they believe in their future now.
DeleteWhat a difference from those terrible pictures pre treatment. You must be so delighted.
ReplyDeleteWally, we all are. We were happy when they survived the first night. It was that close a call:(
