Muddling Along

I'm getting a handle on the "recovery routine". I'm more confident with the injections I must give and less afraid of mistaking medicines, doses and schedules. I started a log, as soon as we got home from the hospital and that has helped tremendously. My tired brain doesn't have to remember when I last administered a pain  pill.
The Artistic One has been taking Percocet, (Oxycodone) about every 12 hours, when he could take one every six hours. This last dose was almost twenty-four hours from the one before.
A nurse came by on Thursday, to draw blood, and the anti-coagulation clinic called with the results the next morning. They're pleased with the direction things are taking. They'll test again in a couple of days. There was a home physical-therapy referral also. Stephanie, the therapist, came by yesterday and quickly saw that we don't need her for anything. I gave her some flowers to-go. My freesias and jasmine exploded into abundance in our absence and our crab-apple tree is covered in dark pink blossoms. Our house is enveloped in color and perfume. TAO sat outside in the sun for a short while yesterday, while I was out.
Our cat has a permanent smile on her face. She loves having someone at home during the day and, even better, someone who takes naps.
I, in the meanwhile, have put our employees back to work, and dealt with the most pressing needs of clients. I must admit that everyone is being very reasonable, which is not always the case. I am completely sold on the usefulness of the i-phone that I was so reluctant to switch to. Messaging, emails, family conferences at my fingertips. I don't even check the office phone for messages now when I'm out and about, I just left my cell info on the outgoing recording and know that anyone can get hold of me, if they have to. I turn it off once I have had enough for the day.
We're doing O.K. How crazy is that?
