Retail Therapy

When all else fails, there's always shoe-shopping to boost morale.
Cruddy week of hubby having a "Man-Cold" and then me getting sick with "Mere Mortal" cold.
We still have not had a conversation about what our future might hold, both drugged up on antihistamines and cough syrups, probably not the best time.
Tomorrow is Saturday. Full of potential. Famous last words.
At least I know what my feet will be wearing this summer, if not in which country they will be.

  1. Niiiiiice!

Sorry to hear about the cold(s). I'm still hacking and gobbing but I'm upright, which is saying a lot with me.

I am, btw, back in SoCal, after a nice visit with Arnold's town. It was a lot of fun.

Oh, did I not mention? I went to Sacto with Le F. We saw the State Capitol Bldg, the Leland Stanford House, the Railway Museum, and had lots of nice things to eat and drink. The 5 put us home in 8 hours.

I am now officially "retired." Have the docs in my handbag to prove it. Snark! Snark! OMG! What a bloody relief!

  2. Pretty, pretty. Would not work on my feet, but if you have the feet for them, lovely.

I too am on the road to retirement. Three more months of school and out.

Hope you both feel better soon.

  4. The shopping-as-therapy bridges the male-female divide quite nicely: though we tend to opt for gadgets and DVDs

Maybe it's a replacement for the hunter-gatherer thing: if we're providing copies of DVDs of Mamma Mia for our families then in some way we've suceeded!

Oh god - is that how low we've set the bar!!! Run whilst you still can...
