Let us ride together, Blowing mane and hair, Careless of the weather, Miles ahead of care, Ring of hoof and snaffle, Swing of waist and hip, Trotting down the twisted road With the world let slip. Anonymous riding song.
Cat photo credit goes to Hubby. The cat is hiding behind his computer, from where she has line of sight to the stairs, to see if the "Monster New Dog" is coming and flee out the cat door if necessary.
Rose is very pretty. I can certainly see both breeds in her looks. What about her behaviors??
As for the cat's expression, I have seen that here.......lots! Jasmine and Squeaker like to know where Delilah and Sugar are at all times. LOL However, Squeaker just wants to be in control, she actually loves the dogs.
Abby Rose is a cutie pie, but which breed? Hard to say which dominates. You are right that it seems to depend on the pose and the picture.
Slinkie's expression is absolutely perfect for the situation. Hubby did a great job snapping that shot! I think the trick of animal photography is being just plain lucky to capture the right second in our little friend's lives. When it happens, it's magic.
Wonderful, I never saw a german shepherd in collie fur, nor a collie with german shepherd features... confusing... but then the softie parts takes care of the confusion and melts our hearts ! Looks like Slinkie may have stuck her tail in an electric socket...
Am happy to see you having so much animal fun. Hope they don't have fleas though ! That's a big dog with a lot of fur for fleas to hide in...
LOL... I love Deborah's "...a Corgi with really long legs!"
She does rather look like an Alsatian wearing a Collie costume to go trick-or-treating. Abbey Rose looks still a bit anxious, possibly (where did my human go??) but also very happy. That will be down to you and your care. What a lovely dog.
And Slinky, well, that's just too precious an expression for words. Bless.
(As for fleas, well, I use Stronghold. On my animals, that is, I tend to not have them myself.)
Creative people abound! "Colherd", Long legged Corgi, White Shepherd and Halloween Costumed dog in disguise. Whatever her lineage we'll make sure her future is a good one.
S&S, things are calming down somewhat. We have our routine and manage that the animals paths never cross. The wild card is Hubby, who cannot be relied upon to close doors behind him.
Jobhunter, That was the cat's rhetorical question, methinks. ("As long as it takes" is the answer)
If I were a tree, I would be a London Plane. I am gregarious but enjoy solitude. I am English in my heart and soul, but still have room for other nations. I have lived in six countries and picked up a French husband along the way. We have a wonderful, kind, strong-minded daughter who has become a "Human of whom to be proud". I am a magnet for the lost. I foster collies (and collie cousins and the occasional, accidental, cat or crow). Those I have saved have saved me in return. I notice the world around me and often talk to strangers. Traveling alone is interesting, liberating and fulfilling. I am good at most things that I undertake but have few formal qualifications. I am able to have and treasure friends with whom I disagree about almost everything. My life is not over. Who knows where I am headed?
A ponyism is one of Life's Truths perceived from the perspective of an Effing Pony: - Life's a Bluff! - Those who aspire to make their mark on this world must expect to scrape some skin on the walls of experience. - The greatest value of money is as the currency of Hope.
- To be an Ass or an Asset, that is the question?
-Selective memory is but the first step on the path to magical thinking.
-Not all Baggage comes with wheels. -When your hero is a horse you are less likely to be disappointed than were he a human.
-Unfortunately, great wealth does not always equate with class.
-A dick, surrounded by puppies, remains a dick. -What better antidote to evil than kittens? -Any time you have something heavy, ready to drop, your cat will sit right below and look up at you.
She's beautiful. I love your cats expression, priceless!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the previous comment.
ReplyDeleteThe capture of your cat's expression is that of a master photographer.
Ditto the above comments. Could the pooch be a sheplie or a collhard?

A German Collie? 100% dog, in any case. Beautiful!

Whatever she is, she sure is sweet-looking!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous!
She's a beauty.
ReplyDeleteShe is a most interesting looking dog! A bit like a Corgi with really long legs.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, at any rate. Laughed out loud at the cat's expression.
2 beautiful, clearly very intelligent animals. Give 'em both a squidge from me.
ReplyDeleteLOL... I love Deborah's "...a Corgi with really long legs!"

Colherd! She looks like a wonderful and fun dog. I like the colors and her sweet innocent look.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! Reminds me of long haired white German Shepherds (if she was all white that is;).

ReplyDeleteGreat looking dog, even if the cat doesn't think so! Great photos. They are both lucky to have you.
ReplyDeleteKipling, The cat's expression is pretty eloquent I think:)
ReplyDeleteI have to sympathise with Slinkie . A.Rose is definitely a DOG ..... what sort is more difficult to work out !
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha! Love the look of that cat. "And how long is this one staying?"

how cute....and the cat is brilliant!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful girl, that Abbey.
ReplyDeleteI see that Slinkie has the same expression that Willow gets, the one I refer to as "I see an ax-murderer!"
Lydia, "I see an axe murderer". You nailed the description. It's perfect.
ReplyDeleteYoung at Heart, sorry I didn't see you until now. Thanks for stopping by.
