dogs and the lack thereof, and what to do about it

Let us ride together, Blowing mane and hair, Careless of the weather, Miles ahead of care, Ring of hoof and snaffle, Swing of waist and hip, Trotting down the twisted road With the world let slip. Anonymous riding song.
'Dove-people' sounds like a pretty nice group. Are you one?
ReplyDeleteOh, dear, your title did worry me for a moment there...you witty person, you.
ReplyDeleteThat little dovecote is so pretty and the doves themselves add even more beauty. It's a lovely advertisement for the rescue.
Deborah, I had no idea that Dove's were in need of rescue. I met a foster-dove named Peppermint who is in this temporary but luxurious lodging. The house behind the dovecote is where "Dynasty" was filmed. We were there for an opening reception and to experience Twilight in Filoli Gardens. (Everyone else who attended was at least 110 years old:)
ReplyDeleteJean, the doves are chubby little things, their plumage has the waxy feel of a magnolia flower when you pet them.
ReplyDeleteYes, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteAll you need is dove...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful home for the doves.
ReplyDeleteAll I thought of was chocolate. I know, I'm weird.
ReplyDeleteHappyHour, it's cultural. If you were raised with Dove chocolate. I hadn't had that thought myself.
ReplyDeleteSteve, What, No Chorus?...Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.
Di and TechnoBabe, Pretty and functional.
...mmmmm... succulent doves....
ReplyDeletemind you.. they're just a prettier version of the flying rats aren't they! :-)
Love the succulents - my favorite plant!
ReplyDeleteWatercats, I was chatting with the Dove Rescue Lady and the words "Roast Squab" did come to mind.
ReplyDeleteJoanna, I admire succulents but prefer plants that move in the wind.
